Covid-19

Following the Government’s latest announcement, we re-opened on April 12th 2021.

Please text or call to make an appointment. The safety precautions described below will continue to be in place to ensure that all our customers and staff stay safe. We believe that we must all take our own responsibility for protecting others as well as ourselves. Please read through these carefully before your appointment. We ask you to respect and comply with the necessary measures we are taking. Regrettably, we may have to turn away customers who fail to do so. You can access the Government’s Guidance for ‘Close Contact Services’ here.

Making Appointments

For the time being, we will only be taking bookings by telephone (phone or text). Unfortunately, we will not be accepting Walk-In appointments. If you are nearby, and wish to book a massage straight away, please call before coming to the salon.

To help us all get used to the new routine, we will not be offering 30 minute treatments at least for now. 60 minute bookings are preferred, although we may be able to accommodate 45 or 90 minute appointments depending on the schedule each day. Please note, we may be operating reduced hours.

Attending Your Appointment

Until further notice, Clients may only attend their appointment on their own, as it will not be possible for companions to wait in the Reception area. We will require all customers to wear face masks while they are on the premises. Should you not have one, you can purchase one at Reception for £1.

Due to the additional precautions we need to implement, and to ensure social distancing between customers and staff, we need to stick to a rigid time schedule. Please arrive 10-15 minutes ahead of your booking time in order not to lose time from your massage. Regrettably, should you arrive late for your appointment, it is unlikely that the time will be added on at the end. Please do not arrive too early, as this may compromise Social Distancing with other Clients.

Upon arrival, please ring the bell and we will open the door for you. In line with Government guidelines, we will then test your temperature with a contactless thermometer. If you present with a high temperature (usually 38C or above) we may decline to treat you.

There will be anti-bacterial hand sanitiser dispensers in reception and all customers are asked to sanitise their hands immediately when entering the shop.

After sanitising your hands, all customers, even regulars, will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire. This includes questions regarding any Covid-19 symptoms you may have. You will be asked to sit in a chair in Reception for this purpose. We will not be able to accept any customers experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms.

We will then ask you to make payment in advance of your treatment, as this will facilitate much smoother transition from one customer to the next after your massage, and make social distancing easier to manage. You may pay by cash, bank transfer or card, using the chip-and-pin terminal.

Your Massage

Once all the above formalities have been completed, your Therapist will direct you to your treatment room. Feel free to wash your hands in the basin in the room, using the disposable paper towels and the waste bin provided. Please do not put paper towels in the sink.

Please undress, keeping on your lower underwear only, and lay face down on the bed covering yourself with the freshly cleaned sarong provided. Please keep your face mask on at all times. Try not to talk to your Therapist during the massage other than regarding your treatment. Relax and enjoy your massage!

After Your Massage

Following your massage, please make sure you dress and vacate the room within a maximum of 10 minutes, in order that we can clean and prepare the room thoroughly in time for the next customer. As you will have already paid, you may then leave the salon safely whilst maintaining social distancing guidelines. We hope to see you again soon.

Shop Cleanliness

After every massage, door handles and other contact points will be wiped down, and bed linen will be changed as usual. We will be operating with fewer Therapists than treatment rooms, at least for a while, and allowing extra time between massages to permit additional cleaning. Daily shop cleaning will continue as normal, with additional deep cleans arranged every week.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Our Therapists will all be wearing face coverings and/or face visors at all times, for your protection. If you have hearing difficulty or rely on lip-reading, please let us know. Any customers who wish to keep their own face masks or face coverings on are welcome to do so, alternatively you can purchase one at Reception upon arrival for £1.

Social Distancing

There will be a screen at the Reception desk and you will still be able to communicate with our staff through the screen. However, please do not shout and try to avoid too much chatting!

Clearly, when in the treatment room, it will not be possible to keep completely distanced from your Therapist. As mandated by the Government’s latest advice, we will not be able to include head or face massage when you are lying face up. Head massage when lying face down will be possible. Please let your Therapist and/or Receptionist know if you would prefer not to have a head massage.
